I’d love to photograph your dog(s). Once you’ve completed and sent the Contact Form, we will arrange a time to have an initial phone chat.

We usually spend anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours together. If your dog is showing signs of fatigue, we will stop the session, but if not, we will continue as long as your dog is relaxed and we are all having fun.

Preparing for your outdoor dog photography session is simple. Bring treats, toys, water, and your dog's favourite toy. You don't need a perfectly behaved dog—every session is designed to capture natural moments, not perfect poses.

Because we’re outdoors, your dog will naturally react to the environment and you. This is what makes the session genuine, and is not dependant on commands or behavior training. It can make the photoshoot easier, but I do love a challenge and I have a few tricks to use too.

No problem! In our session we want to capture authentic movements that really show who your dog is. The goal is to have such a relaxed and accepting vibe that your dog is happy to be your dog.

No worries! Most parks have leash regulations that we respect. Also, your dog is always safe on a regular or long-line leash if she/he is a flight risk. I have photographed dogs with an e-collar as well. While editing, I remove both collars and leashes.

Of course! During our initial consultation we chat about what your dog is able to do and what may cause them to hesitate or react. We design the session to keep your dog calm. If you have a dog that is shy, I am happy to do a complimentary Meet and Greet before your session.

It’s a priority. In our initial consultation we talk about your concerns for a safe and relaxed photo session, including how to keep your dog safe from wandering, environmental elements and other people/dogs.

I need to book more session time to make sure we’ve got the content that you’re dreaming of for your dogs. Since I do love a good challenge, I’m up for it if we all have lots of patience together. There is a slight increase in price for more than 2 dogs.

I always encourage people to have a few meaningful human/dog moments captured as forever photos. As I specialize in dog photography, I keep the number of human family members to two.

More than anything, wear relaxed clothing that is weather appropriate. If you plan to be in the photos, neutral colors are best. Make sure you wear appropriate walking shoes or boots.

Congrats on the new puppy! They’re such fun. I began my dog photography career taking lots and lots of puppy shots, from birth to 8 weeks old. We can get photos in a safe environment when your dog must avoid others.

Sometimes we can’t plan what is going to happen with our dog’s life. Serious diagnoses or senior dogs may benefit from an end of life session. There is always room for you to book if time is short. Love, compassion and sensitivity create a beautiful experience.

During our winter session, I wear just the right amount of merino wool, down and heated socks to keep me warm. You and your dog need to be comfortable too, so we are always watching for any signs of discomfort.

If we need to postpone our outdoor session due to weather or location challenges, we review our options several days in advance. There are always alternatives to getting your session just the way you want. I keep my schedule flexible.

Once you have reviewed your personal gallery of your dog’s best images, you may order digitals, or classic heirloom paper or modern metal prints for heirloom art.
