Little dogs, spicy spirit *

Corgis evolved in Wales over a thousand years ago as agile, low-profile cattle herders. Their short legs allowed them to nip at livestock heels while quickly ducking to avoid retaliatory kicks. Today, that ancient instinct remains hardwired; the nipping but not drawing blood is classic play-herding behaviour rather than aggression. You’ll see this playing out between corgis during their races at Spruce Meadows, Calgary. Racing corgis are unpredictable and entertaining with their tumbling interactions.
